American Olean Novelty — a glossy glass herringbone mosaic in an opal white. Glass in a herringbone lay is about as much interest as you can get from a single pale color.

Key features:

  • Glossy glass herringbone mosaic, 12.24 sq ft per box (NV93)
  • Wall tile — not rated for floors
  • Glass mosaic needs a white-body thinset and a smooth wall behind it
  • Mesh-mounted sheets, so the spacing sets itself; trim between pieces with a utility knife
