Matarazzo Pure Silk is a 12" x 24" polished porcelain tile in a grey-and-white marble look. Porcelain absorbs almost no water — half a percent or less — which is why it can go on a floor, up a shower wall and outdoors without staining or freezing apart.
Key features:
- 12" x 24" polished porcelain, 15.50 sq ft per box
- Glazed tile never needs sealing — only the grout does, unlike marble or limestone
- Polished tile is slick when wet: manufacturers do not recommend a polished surface for a bathroom floor or anywhere else that gets water on it
- Sets in thinset over cement board or a flat slab; cuts need a wet saw
